RAJA YOGA

5000 years ago sage PATANJALI revealed this art and science of
Meditation in his classical work "Yoga Sutras". It is also known as
Ashtanga Yoga and Kriya Yoga. Common people think that Asanas and
Pranayamas is Yoga. But...

Raja Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga as given by
sage Patanjali has 8 steps. The 8 steps of Ashtanga Yoga are closely
related to every aspect of human life. Contrary to popular
perception, asana is only one aspect of yoga; it can never represent
yoga comprehensively. In its entirety, yoga is a well-knit,
disciplined science of attaining supreme bliss:

Yoga comes after Meditation. It is
very clear that the preparation for Meditation is more important
than the act of sitting down and closing your eyes for a session of
Meditation.
Meditation happens when one is
prepared in all the other 6 steps of Raja Yoga. And then comes the
Samadhi - The Ecstasy of Yoga - The Awakening. The awakening of
what, the consciousness...
